ASSIGNMENT 1: Who Invented Hinduism?
Your assignment is to read the article by Lorenzen (“Who Invented Hinduism?”).
Submit a single file containing the following two topics:
1. the summary of the article
[the summary should take at most 700-1000 words. Be sure to cite the page
number, which may be placed in the text after the quoted or paraphrased passage.]
2. 5 observations
I.e., what do you consider to be the 5 most important points addressed in the article? This should not exceed 300 words.
The target date and deadline is September 4 (Friday). This is an important subject and has political and nationalistic ramifications for India. Therefore, the assignment is not to be taken lightly.
