Communication is a vital part of any human relationship, and the ability to communicate is a critical skill that each person should develop. One goal of this course is to teach that the better we know and understand others, the less likely we are to have communication misunderstandings. This occurs because we usually are more willing to take the time to listen actively and patiently to people with whom we have developed a rapport.

This lesson will focus on written communication. This lesson will teach you, as students, the importance of research and the proper way to structure a written document. This lesson also will consider the importance of knowing your audience and structuring a written document to meet the needs of those who will read it.

Lesson Objectives: Develop the effective use of critical thinking and analysis skills in written, verbal, and nonverbal communication.

Who knew that your own self-esteem and confidence could influence the success of your workplace? In our workplaces, personal self-image can create positivity that can be contagious. Likewise, poor self-image can breed negativity and hinder personal and professional growth.
